Rapid prototyping technology is becoming more widespread and pervade even to the home. The higher efficiency of rapid prototype, a full color 3D analysis model can be easily created and can be tested for its functionality, presentation and output. The users are very well familiar that this program easily makes different models simpler and easier to get positive feedback. Addition to these, this helps in easy implementation of the ideas and better communication of ideas.

There are many different kinds of techniques used for rapid prototyping which are easily accessible in the contemporary times and all of them are found very effective in creating models. And there are various prototyping apparatus involve for these techniques include Stereo lithography, Laminated Object Manufacturing, Selective Laser Sintering, Fused Deposition Modeling, Solid Ground Curing and 3D Ink-Jet Printing.

Stereo lithography - This type of prototyping utilizes ultraviolet ray to make solid material with the help of liquid acrylic polymer synthetic compounds. The machine helps in producing the layering process and after a lot of layers; the model in the needed form is created. This proceeding is assisted with an appliance and filled up with photo curable liquid acrylate polymers.

Fused Deposition Modeling – This is another very effective method to create a prototype. This is also a rapid prototype approach which is applied to computer-aided design drawing into the real objects.

Selective Laser Sintering – This is another popular technology of creating models very well utilizes the method of sintering. Sintering is that workflow that turn away melting and a sintered mass can be made.

Laminated Object Manufacturing – This method include materials of adhesive sheets which is layered are attached together to create a prototype. Laminated paper is the first substance used by this method.

Fused Deposition Modeling – It uses extruded thermoplastic filaments that is heated upon from the tip to moves upon the x and y plane.

Solid Ground Curing – It was created by Cubital. This method is almost similar to stereo lithography where in this technique is utilizing ultraviolet light to harden polymers which is photosensitive.
